Evelyn's Chip and Cherry Cake

3 beaten eggs
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup cut cherries
1/4 tsp salt
1 package chocolate bits
2 cups chopped pecans
1 cup cut dates


Add sugar to beaten eggs. Sift dry ingredients together. Add nuts, chocolate, dates and cherries to flour mixture. Add to egg mixture. Pour into a loaf pan that is oiled and lined with waxed paper. Bake 1 hour at 325.
