Pineapple Bars

2 cups granulated sugar
1 1/2 cup butter
4 large eggs
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 large can crushed pineapple
1 cup chopped walnuts
Powdered sugar

Measure sugar into mixing bowl. Melt butter and add to the sugar. Mix together. Beat eggs well and mix with sugar and butter. Add flour, salt, baking soda. Add well drained pineapple and chopped walnuts. Mix well. Pour butter into well greased pan lined with wax paper. (10 1/2 x 15 x 2). Bake in moderate oven at 350 for 30-35 minutes. Cut into bars and add powdered sugar.
