Zucchini With Ground Beef

1 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 1/2 lbs zucchini, cut into 1/4" rounds
2 cups cottage cheese
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp seasoned or garlic salt
1/2 cup California Sauterne
1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
1 cup sharp grated Cheddar Cheese
1 cup long grain rice
1 cup wine


Cook rice for 10 minutes in boiling, salted water. Brown beef and onion together in butter. Add seasonings and wine. Add cooked rice. Place half of zucchini in bottom of 2 1/2 quart casserole. Cover with beef mixture and spoon on cottage cheese. Add layer of remaining zucchini and spread soup over all. Sprinkle top with grated cheese and bake 1 - 1 1/4 hours in 350 degree oven.
