Chinese String Beans
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp butter
2 loin pork chops, cubed
2 (1 lb) cans cut green beans
1 (10 1/2 oz) can chicken or beef stock
1/4 cup California Chablis wine
1 bay leaf
1/4 cup parsley, finely chopped
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp soy sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
1 large onion, sliced in rings
Saute garlic in butter, add cubed pork and brown. Add and mix remaining ingredients, concluding with onion rings placed on top of mixture. Cover and simmer for about 25 minutes.
